Miniclipper Logistics is proud to announce that it has successfully achieved both Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to safeguarding customer data, strengthening operational resilience, and maintaining the highest standards of cyber security across the business.

Cyber Essentials Plus

As the logistics sector becomes increasingly digital, the importance of robust cyber security has never been greater.

In May 2026, Miniclipper took the proactive step to complete the Cyber Essentials certification and only weeks after completion, completed the external audit process to upgrade to Cyber Essentials Plus in June.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme that helps organisations implement essential controls to protect against cyber risks. Cyber Essentials Plus goes a step further, involving an independent, hands-on technical verification of systems to confirm that these protections are fully in place and effective.

Alongside the robust IT infrastructure and monitoring tools that are already in place, Miniclipper staff receive regular cyber security training to raise awareness of potential phishing attempts and reduce human risk factors

This gives our customers and partners confidence that their data is secure, reduces the risk of disruption caused by cyber incidents and give assurances that Miniclipper follows recognised best practices in IT security.

Miniclipper’s IT Development

With IT systems becoming a crucial part of modern logistics operations, Miniclipper has upgraded both its Transport Management System and Warehouse Management System in recent years.

In 2024, the transport operation went live with Mandata Enterprise TMS, a platform which brings all elements of the transport operation into one system. It offers end to end visibility and traceability for customers, improved efficiency for the operations teams and greater connectivity to customers and network partners, automating data flows between systems.

On the warehousing side, in 2025 the Burton-on-Trent warehouse was the first site to go live on new Warehouse Management System, .wms by Thomax, marking the start of a two-year implementation project to roll out the system across all six warehouses.

The new WMS has already delivered significant efficiency improvements, increasing the warehouse team’s capacity and giving them the capability to offer a number of added value services. The fulfilment capabilities that the system offers, as well and the ease of integration with customer ERP systems, our TMS and a number of major parcel carriers, makes Thomax the optimal solution for ecommerce operations. The roll out is due to be completed by Q1 2027 so watch this space…

Investing in the Future

Alongside Miniclipper’s modern Warehouse and Transport Management Systems, the achievement of Cyber Essentials Plus provides assurance that Miniclipper has the ideal set up to meet our customer’s IT needs. The new systems ensure Miniclipper run a highly efficient operation with full customer integration and cyber security measures to protect our customer data which have been rigorously tested and meet a high standard of compliance.

Miniclipper’s IT Director, Cale Sweetlove stated “we are not a company that believes getting a certificate should be our aim, but instead it should be a byproduct of what we are as a business. We should also not think that it means we can rest on our laurels, as security threats don’t stop because you have a piece of paper to say you are compliant. Getting the CE+ certification is nice as it lets other businesses know we are compliant with this framework, but making sure that we stay secure now and in the future with the ever evolving cyber threats will always be our main goal.”

As Miniclipper continues to embrace innovation and modernise its operations, maintaining secure and reliable platforms is essential. By prioritising cyber security and achieving these certifications, Miniclipper not only protects the integrity of its operations, but also contributes to a safer, more secure supply chain for its customers and partners.
