Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver - Leighton Buzzard

Job role: Warehouse Operative / FLT Driver

Location: Cherrycourt Way, Leighton Buzzard

Pay:  £14.25 per hour

 

Job description:

We are looking for an employee who wants to work the following shift:

  • Week 1 – working 12 noon to 10pm Monday to Wednesday.
  • Week 2 – working 12 noon to 10pm Monday to Thursday.

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for delivering safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of customer goods and products, providing customers with a fast, reliable, and accurate.

Main responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer stock (unload, receipt, label and putaway)
  • Prepare and complete orders for delivery or collection according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Perform inventory controls and maintain high standards for audits
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Optimise space utilisation
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with external customers and internal stakeholders across the business
  • Manage customer expectations within a timely and professional manner
  • Maintain internal documentation
  • Compliance to company policy
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to multiple deadlines
  • Liaise and arrange special delivery instruction

 

What we are looking for…

Profile:

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Previous experience working in a busy Warehouse environment or equivalent.
  • Flexibility is their approach to work.
  • Work well as an individual or as part of a team.

Technical competencies:

  • Outlook, excel, word are an advantage
  • Open WMS usage is desirable but not essential as full training and support will be provided
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Counterbalance/VNA/Reach/PPT desired
  • Flexi licence is essential
  • Driving Licence is essential

Class 2 Multidrop Driver - Burton-upon-Trent

Job Title: Class 2 Multidrop Driver

Location: Burton-upon-Trent

Pay: £16.00 per hour

 

Job description:

Working Monday to Friday, this role will be responsible for ensuring that multi-drop delivery and collection of palletised freight in the Midlands and North of England is carried out safely, efficiently and compliantly. You will be involved in scanning, loading and unloading your vehicle using a counterbalance truck or PPT.

Main responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and drive Class 2 vehicles in compliance with all road traffic regulations.
  • Conduct pre and post use vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Report any defects or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Efficiently load and unload palletised goods using appropriate equipment (such as Tail lifts/pump trucks) and following safety protocols.
  • Ensure accurate counting and recording of goods during the loading/unloading process.
  • Utilise GPS and other navigation tools to navigate routes accurately and report route concerns as and when they occur.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time, including delivery notes, vehicle checks and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintain proper records of delivered and collected goods.
  • Interact professionally with customers during the delivery/collection processes.
  • Represent the company positively and uphold excellent customer service standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as relevant industry regulations.
  • Any ADHOC work required in the yard such as pressure washing vehicles.

 

What we are looking for…

Profile:

  • You will need to be flexible with start and finish times as these depend on business needs.

Technical competencies:

  • Valid Class 2 driving license
  • Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver in a logistics or transportation role
  • Good knowledge of road and safety regulations and traffic laws.

Behavioural competencies:

  • Strong driving skills with a focus on safety
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing circumstances
