Jayne Masters has retired after three decades with Miniclipper Logistics, the Bedfordshire-based transport and storage company.
Jayne joined the Miniclipper Logistics family business in 1992 as Sales Manager following positions with P&O Irish Freight and Dawson Group where she was Area Sales Manager.
Jayne quickly progressed to the role of Miniclipper’s Sales Director in 2004, a position she maintained for 20 years. Her successful philosophy was to provide customers with a blue-chip standard service that included a personal, tailored approach backed by family values.
She has helped the business grow into a multi-site operation which employs 180 staff, and in 2022 contributed to Miniclipper Logistics reporting its best ever turnover and profit performance in the 51-year history of the family-owned business.
As well as being integral in driving the growth of the business Jayne has mentored female talent within Miniclipper with 20% of employees in senior positions now women.
Miniclipper will remain a focal point in Jayne’s life as she aims to invest time in coaching emerging female leaders from the world of logistics. She has also accepted the offer of becoming an ambassador for Transaid, and will be looking after her new granddaughter Poppy, the fourth generation of the Miniclipper Masters family.
On announcing her retirement, she said: “For over 30 years, I have been engaging with companies who I felt could be a good fit with Miniclipper, and after gaining their trust and friendship entered into long term business partnerships.
“I have seen the industry change including welcoming more women into senior roles. I have made many friends during three decades with Miniclipper and am proud of what we have achieved as a team.
“I met colleagues through our associates in pallet networks such as Palletline who also mentored me and contributed to the development of our customer services for which I am very grateful. We have retained our family ethos whilst growing the business and look I forward to my husband and children continuing the success of Miniclipper,” she added.
