Our award-winning run began back in May when we were announced as Palletline’s 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Champion at their annual awards ceremony. This award is given in recognition of the company’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact, support its local community and give back to charities. Palletline highlighted that Miniclipper’s CSR campaign is structured to have the broadest impact whilst focusing on continuous improvement. The 2023 UKWA Awards for Excellence took place at the Lancaster London Hotel in late June, where Miniclipper was awarded the ‘Infrastructure’ Award. This was for the additional capacity created with the onboarding of a new 95,000 sq. ft warehouse in Burton-Upon-Trent, and the ongoing redevelopment of our [Billington Road] Leighton Buzzard warehouses… Since relocating our Transport Operation from the Billington Road site to an industrial park in Dunstable back in 2021, we have expanded our first freehold site to create a 130,000 sq. ft warehousing facility including two new warehouse buildings and a total refurbishment of the 27,000 sq. ft mezzanine floor.
In addition, we received the wonderful (surprise) news that Peter and Jayne Masters had won the 2023 Chairman’s Award for exceptional contribution to the warehousing industry!
The SME Bedfordshire Business Awards 2023 also took place in late June where we were awarded the Silver Award for the Business with 50+ employees and the Gold Award for Family Business of the Year. This was a sentimental achievement which we are extremely proud of and we were delighted to demonstrate how we have continued to grow the business whilst keeping our core family business values at the centre of everything we do. We will now be attending the National SME Bedfordshire Awards in Wembley later this year in the Family Business of the Year category.
And we aren’t stopping there! We have also been announced as Finalists for three more prestigious awards; In September we will be attending the Motor Transport Awards where we are shortlisted in the Business Excellence category. Later in the year we will be attending the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s (CILT) Annual Awards for Excellence as finalists in the Freight Transport category and the Logistics UK 2023 Awards as finalists in the Road Transport Operator of the Year category!
