It’s been a busy first half of the year at Miniclipper with a number of significant achievements across our teams to celebrate!
Driver Training
We are proud to share that our Transport Training Manager, Simon, has once again successfully passed his NRI LGV Driver Instructor qualification. Driver training is critical to safety, compliance and performance on the road and this qualification allows Simon to train staff to progress from a car licence to an HGV licence while developing the skills to be a successful delivery driver.
Further strengthening our training capability, Simon and fellow Driver Assessor Jason, are also qualified RTITB Driver CPC Trainers, enabling us to deliver Driver CPC training in-house. This enhances both flexibility and consistency in how we develop and maintain driver skills across the business.
Warehouse to Wheels
One of the standout pathways in our development programme is our Warehouse to Wheels initiative, designed to support colleagues in transitioning from warehouse roles into professional driving careers.
We are proud to celebrate Freddy and Shay, who have successfully completed the programme and are now fully qualified HGV Class 2 drivers. Their progression highlights the opportunities available within Miniclipper Logistics for those looking to grow their careers and take on new challenges.
With Freddy and Shay on the road, that makes it eight drivers to have successfully completed the programme since it began.
Driver Progression
Career development doesn’t stop once someone is on the road. We actively support our drivers in advancing their qualifications to progress their careers.
Congratulations go to Ben and Luke, who have successfully upskilled from Class 2 (Category C) to Class 1 (Category C+E) licences, allowing them to make the step up to driving articulated vehicles.
Prioritising Wellbeing: Mental Health First Aiders
At Miniclipper, we recognise that a strong workforce is a supported workforce. Mental health and wellbeing are key priorities for us, which is why we have invested in training Mental Health First Aiders across the business.
We’re proud to have Katie, Mark and Carmen now qualified as Mental Health First Aiders, providing an additional layer of support for colleagues. Their role is vital in fostering a positive, open culture where wellbeing is taken seriously and support is always available.
Developing In-House Expertise
Strengthening our internal capabilities is essential to maintaining high training standards and operational excellence.
We are pleased to recognise Billy and Simon, who are now qualified RTITB MHE (Mechanical Handling Equipment) Trainers. Their expertise ensures we can deliver high quality training for MHE use across our sites, improving both safety and efficiency.
We’re also delighted that Katie and Alex have both successfully completed their Transport and Warehouse Supervisor Apprenticeships. Developing future leaders is a key part of our long-term strategy, and their achievement reflects not only their personal commitment, but also Miniclipper’s ongoing investment in leadership development.
In addition to this, our Compliance Manager, Callum, has qualified as our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). This is a crucial role that supports compliance, safety, and best practice when handling and transporting hazardous goods.
Continuous Personal Development
These achievements demonstrate a culture of continuous improvement, development and progression for staff at Miniclipper Logistics. Whether it’s progressing from the warehouse to the driver’s seat, stepping into leadership roles, or building specialist expertise, we are committed to providing opportunities for everyone to succeed.
