Last month, we were delighted to welcome Andrew Selous, Member of Parliament for Southwest Bedfordshire, and Clare Bottle, CEO of the UK Warehousing Association to our recently expanded and renovated site in Billington Road, Leighton Buzzard.
This exciting opportunity was part of the 2024 ‘Year of Warehousing’ celebrations, putting the sector firmly in the spotlight as Clare tours the country to visit 80 warehouses in their 80th year of operating. This coincided perfectly with the completion of a 3-year project to relocate our Distribution Centre to an industrial estate in Dunstable and convert the site into a 130,000sq. ft logistics centre for bulk, racked and small pick storage and fulfilment. Our longest standing freehold building, ‘Warehouse C’, was purchased almost 40 years ago and the former Gossard building in 2010. The site also serves as the company’s Head Office.
It was a proud moment to showcase the business’ growth to Andrew Selous, who has closely followed our journey as we’ve expanded out to Houghton Regis, Dunstable and more latterly, Burton -Upon-Trent in East Staffordshire. Today, we have over 210 employees across our five sites, an exemplary fleet of over 50 vehicles (which has recently been rebranded!) and almost 600,000sq. ft of warehousing space….
