Miniclipper Logistics wins prestigious award for the second time

A key global client has awarded Miniclipper "European carrier of the year" recognising consistent performance ON TIME IN FULL for the past 12 months.  Appointed as UK final mile carrier, Miniclipper cross docks european manufactured products every day, delivering to high street retail stores, distributors and printers throughout the UK. 

Behind Miniclipper as runners up were DSV, Norbert Dentressangle and Flextronics amongst other european carriers.

DRIVER CPC success

Our Miniclipper driver training plan is way ahead of our peers in the industry who seem to be burying their head in the sand over new legal requirements.

Most of our drivers are now over 50% towards achieving this important legal requirement, which must be completed by 2014.
 

Full ISO14001 accreditation achieved in December!

Miniclipper was delighted to be awarded ISO14001 accreditation last month.  This important environmental certificate verifies that as a business, Miniclipper is minimizing the impact of our activities on the outside world.

Measures taken include upgrading the vehicle fleet to Euro5 emissions standards, switching forklifts to Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), collecting, baling and recycling waste of all types from warehouses and offices, investing in personnel sensitive warehouse lighting, and ensuring all employees buy into the concept of considering every element of waste in our business.

Peter Masters, Managing Director, says "this is the first step to ensuring Miniclipper builds a business for the future, we want to be good neighbours, and we want our teams to behave responsibly with regard to waste.  Additionally, cost savings resulting from our vehicle management systems in the trucks is a vital step forward in competing with the best in the UK logistics industry".

Mini Clipper has linked up with Ripple Africa to donate a penny for every pallet we deliver to provide safe and environmentally friendly stoves for homes in Malawi.

Do your customer deliveries often involve delivering to building sites or contractors/engineers?

A team of Miniclipper drivers are now qualified to be present on sites where refurbishment or reconstruction is taking place through achievement of the CSCS Certification.

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme ensures that drivers making deliveries and installing computer equipment at the delivery site are trained to have total health and safety awareness.  Provision of proof of training in the form of the CSCS Photo ID Card, fast tracks them onto the premises to make the delivery, speeding up the whole delivery and POD process.
